Long Time Ago Poem

I tried hard to fill my belly.
Long time ago poem. Page many years agoi would not knowknow where and why to go. But this was clearly a bad bargain so i went home and lived in idleness. Hunger drove me into the world. Our time to go may be tomorrowor it may even be as early as today so while we have it we should show.
The road there was long and winding and stormy waves barred my path. I had a lot of questions while reading but i think most of them got answered by the end. And at day s end when chores were through or just to have a break you d take a moment just for you relax for your own sake. And even a little seemed a lot.

Many years agoi would not knowknow where and why to go. And that is almost all i can remember the house the mountain the gray cat on her knee her red shawl and the tree and the taste of the berries the feel of the sun i remember and the smell of everything that used to be so long ago. No neverending busy ness but time for peace and hush. Or even radio things were done much differently.
What made me go this way. It didn t create as much emotion in me as zinn s version of history writing but it was very effective in letting me see life through their eyes. Distractions weren t as plentiful and people didn t rush. A long time ago poem by tony berndtsson.
A lot of us not all perhaps but most will be slightly different people and our world though diminished will be much bigger its beauty revealed afresh.
